Biography

Mike Smith is a Policy Assistant for the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA). He is responsible for supporting all aspects of the association’s policy work, including government and political affairs and regulatory advocacy.

Mike previously served as a Program and Policy Advisor to Chairman Neil Chatterjee and Chairman James Danly of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). In that role, he carried out government affairs, communications, and infrastructure security policy on the Chairman’s behalf. Prior to joining FERC in 2018 he served as a member of the Senate Republican Cloakroom staff working on numerous legislative priorities for Senate Leadership. Mr. Smith Graduated cum laude from the University of Tulsa with a B.A. in Political Science and Classics Studies.
