INGAA Adds to Policy Team

WASHINGTON, DC, June 22, 2021 — The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) is pleased to announce that Mike Smith has joined the organization. Smith will serve as INGAA’s Policy Assistant, supporting all aspects of the association’s policy work, including government and political affairs and regulatory advocacy.

Previously, Mr. Smith served as a Program and Policy Advisor to Chairman Neil Chatterjee and Chairman James Danly of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). In that role, he carried out government affairs, communications, and infrastructure security policy on the Chairman’s behalf.

“We are excited to have Mike join our team here at INGAA,” said Amy Andryszak, President and CEO of INGAA. “His knowledge and experience gained at FERC and in the U.S. Senate will be a valuable asset to our organization.”

Prior to joining FERC in 2018 he served as a member of the Senate Republican Cloakroom staff working on numerous legislative priorities for Senate Leadership. Mr. Smith Graduated cum laude from the University of Tulsa with a B.A. in Political Science and Classics Studies.
