The board of directors of the INGAA Foundation November 3 elected Victor Gaglio as its chairman for a one-year term. Gaglio is senior vice president and chief operating officer for Piedmont Natural Gas, Duke Energy’s natural gas business unit.

“Victor brings a wealth of practical experience in pipeline company management and operations to his role as the Foundation’s new chairman,” said INGAA Foundation President and CEO Don Santa, “The combination of his technical background and proven leadership skills make Victor well suited to lead the organizations membership in assuring a safe and reliable natural gas transmission system.”

The INGAA Foundation brings together over 200 pipeline operators and contractors—including construction companies, pipe mills, engineering companies, consultants, environmental and safety groups and others—to facilitate the efficient construction, safe operation and reliable maintenance of the North American natural gas pipeline system.

“Like many in this industry, I’ve dedicated my career to providing safe, reliable and affordable service to the customers who enjoy the many benefits of clean natural gas,” said Gaglio. “I fully support the mission of the INGAA Foundation and its emphasis on safety and quality in how we design, build, operate and maintain this critical national infrastructure, while being thoughtful and respectful to all those we interact with along the way. I’m proud to serve as Chairman for such a quality organization.”

As chairman, Gaglio said he would work to further the mission of the INGAA Foundation by encouraging more meaningful collaboration between the Foundation membership and the end-users it serves.

“Thought diversity creates better work products and better ideas,” said Gaglio. “By further collaborating with the end-users it serves, The INGAA Foundation and the work it produces will continue to be a trusted resource for many decisionmakers throughout the energy and environmental industries.”

Gaglio has more than 35 years of experience in the natural gas industry. Prior to joining Piedmont in 2012, Gaglio served as senior vice president of operations for NiSource Gas Transmission and Storage, where he was responsible for the company’s field operations and maintenance, storage, land services and health, safety and environmental programs.

Gaglio graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a bachelor’s degree in engineering science and mechanics. He has also completed executive development programs at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

Also November 4, the Foundation board elected Lauren O’Donnell, vice president, oil & gas market sector, for TRC Solutions, as vice chairwoman.
