Latest Update: 06/07/2011
These educational briefings provide an opportunity to share the INGAA Foundation issues and findings with the various stakeholders and regulatory agencies. This initiative is designed to improve the understanding and communication of impediments creating difficulty in building the needed natural gas energy infrastructure with the overall intent to find collaborative solutions to these problems.
Proposed Effort: The scope of this initiative will be somewhat fluid as the efforts will need to be focused on the current issues defined by the foundation membership. Deliverables will be periodic meetings with appropriate agency contacts who can provide direction and assist in effectuating change.
Expected Audience: The INGAA Foundation membership, regulatory agencies such as FERC, PHMSA, DOI, COE Fish and Wildlife, etc., possibly landowner organizations and NGO’s.
Outreach: This initiative would be most effective in individual meetings with the above referenced agencies but depending on the issue(s) workshops might also be used.
Benefits to the Foundation Membership: It will help keep agencies focused on the current issues and the development of potential solutions. Relationships are very important and this will also allow the various stakeholders to stay current on appropriate contacts as people move into and out of new positions.
Possible Contractors: N/A – This will need to be a membership driven effort using the various papers and studies developed under separate foundation initiatives.
Desired Completion Date: This will be an ongoing initiative building off of many of the activities that have already taken place.
