Ken Havens is the Director of the Source and Transportation business at Kinder Morgan CO2 Company, L.P. in Houston, Texas. He manages the operations of the McElmo Dome and Doe Canyon CO2 source field, 1,700 miles of CO2 and Crude Oil pipelines in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas.
He has over 28 years of experience in the pipeline industry. Early in his career he worked as a Field Engineer, Chief Inspector, and Project Manager on various gathering, compression and mainline pipeline projects. Ken became the operations manager at Akron, Colorado in 1985 and managed various field locations in Colorado, Iowa, New Mexico, and Texas over the next 16 years. He moved to the CO2 group as Director of Source and Transportation in March of 2001.
Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from New Mexico State University. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Illinois and a longstanding member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
