INGAA Congratulates Willie L. Phillips on Confirmation as FERC Commissioner

Amy Andryszak, President and CEO of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA), issued the below statement following the Senate’s vote to confirm Willie L. Phillips to serve as a commissioner for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC):

“INGAA congratulates Willie L. Phillips on his confirmation as FERC Commissioner. FERC works best when it employs a full complement of five commissioners to provide the regulatory certainty necessary for investment in America’s energy infrastructure, and so we thank President Biden for nominating Mr. Phillips and the Senate for confirming him to fill the current vacancy on the Commission.”

FERC plays a critical role in ensuring all Americans can obtain safe and reliable energy services at a reasonable cost.  Through its infrastructure permitting authority, the Commission’s work is also important to achieving our country’s climate and jobs goals. INGAA looks forward to continuing its work with FERC to develop our nation’s energy infrastructure and deliver natural gas to homes and businesses across the country.”
