Primary Contact: Richard R. Hoffmann

Varying levels, topics, and approaches of safety training are required and/or implemented by each owner company and construction contractor. As contractors move and perform work for different owner companies, they are subjected to different training elements and potentially different safety procedures, thus possibly creating confusion. Likewise, the highly mobile workforce has a similar point of confusion as they move between contractors and owner companies. Creating a minimum training standard for all pipeline construction employees/workers would provide a consistent baseline safety behavior.

This project will develop a business model for the development and commercialization of a standardized safety training program applicable to employees and supervisors involved in the construction of natural gas pipelines and related facilities in the United States. INGAA Foundation would act a promoter to underpin the commercial development of the training program.
